PUCK IN CONTENTION
"Puck in contention" means neither team has clear possession. Either the puck is free and not in possession of either team, or two opposing players are struggling to gain possession. In this case we must have at least three players on our side of the puck. We should have one player trying to get it back. We can also have one player even with the puck ready for a pass if our player gets possession. See Figure 12.
