Welcome to another
season on the Senators at the Fairfax Adult Hockey League. I want
to wish all the newcomers to the Senators a warm welcome. As some
of you already know, this is an instructional league. That means
we have a half hour of practice before each game. I won't go into
the details here, but we will work mainly on skating and basic hockey skills
and game play.
This paper will cover some of
those basics. I hope it helps.
GAME PERIODS Our games will be running clock for 20/20/15 minute periods.
If the score difference is two or less in the last five minutes, the clock
will be stop time.
FAIRFAX HOCKEY LEAGUE PENALTY LIMITS 1. If you get a fourth penalty in any one game you must leave the game. This is NOT a game misconduct, where you not only leave this game but also cannot play the next game. 2. If you get 20 minutes of penalties
in seven games, or 40 minutes in 14 games, or 60 minutes in 21 games, you
will sit out the next game. The league watches the stats and will
notify you or your captain and me if you have to sit one out. We
will also try to warn you if you are getting close.
