These paragraphs are for those who haven't heard from us for a long
time. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with my MS
in Electrical Engineering in 1970 I worked on a satellite program for NORAD,
first in Los Angeles for a year, then four years at Hq. NORAD in Colorado
Springs. Then came two years in the Pentagon, 75-77. From the Pentagon
we went to the NATO AWACS Program Office in Brussels (2 yrs) and the NATO
AWACS Program Management Agency at Hq. AFCENT in the Netherlands (3 yrs).
My final Air Force assignment was in the Joint Cruise Missile Program Office
here in Crystal City, VA. I retired from the Air Force in 1984 and within
a year went to work for the Navy, doing basically the same kind of work,
contract management and system engineering. I now work in submarine programs,
which leads me to wonder where I'll go next. What comes next in the progression spacecraft, aircraft, ground
launched missiles, and submarines? Lots of people have been telling me
to go there for years. They may get their wish. I now work on the SSN 21
SEAWOLF
submarine program; she's a wonderful ship. I recommend you watch the show about the SEAWOLF on The Learning Channel - couldn't resist the
plug.
More to come.
